JUNETEENTH is an American holiday that commemorates June 19, 1865, when news of the abolition of slavery in the U.S. reached one of the west most states of the union, Texas.

Join us in the Richmond Juneteenth Parade Saturday, June 15th.

Participation is FREE! and UPDATE! FOOD IS NOW BEING SPONSORED BY MR. FIXITBAYAREA! We will have light breakfast pastries and non-alcoholic beverages available before and during the parade route.

PARADE TIME: UPDATED TIME 8:45am for check-in (please arrive no later than 9am) at 960 South 47th Street, Richmond, CA 94804

PARADE STARTS AT: 10:00 am

PARADE ROUTE starts on 960 South 47th Street to Carlson Blvd, continues to South 37th Street, travels up to Macdonald Ave and ends at Nichol Park on 33rd and Macdonald Avenue, Richmond, California.

ATTIRE:

Diaspora Mas Band masqueraders who participated in SF or Oakland Carnival, please wear your red and gold costumes and Carnival feathers.

Guests – please come in costumed or comfortable red and/or gold/yellow attire to match DMB masquerade costumes.

All are welcome!

MUSIC: We will be playing Soca, dancehall and afrobeat music.  The BIG FUN is all the time we spend together before we entertain the crowd with our revel-lous energy!  From 8am to 10am, it will be all about each other as one big FAMALAY!
